CUPE Members Donate $20,000 to Disaster Relief Efforts in Manitoba
The Canadian Union of Public Employees has donated $20,000 in support of the 4,500 Manitobans who have been affected by this summer's devastating floods. CUPE made the donation on August 23rd to the Canadian Red Cross to help with on-going flood relief efforts in over 40 communities in Southern Manitoba.
CUPE Manitoba Division President Kelly Moist joined Brother Brian Simpson of CUPE Local 69 to make the donation to Jane Hunt, Provincial Director of the Canadian Red Cross and Wendy Peterson, the Community Outreach Head for the Canadian Red Cross in Brandon.
